Attack of the Robins

Hello Dreamers

There other day there were robins all over the place. Within every tree, along every fence, flying about everywhere. More Robins in one place than I've ever seen.
Birds!
It started with my mom's cat, Smokey, exciting looking out windows on the ground floor. We looked with him and saw, at first, two robins on the deck railing. Then we saw some in the nearby trees. There were more near the deck and on fences. All over the place in -11C weather, over a dusting of snow.
Setting is believing.
How are there so many Robins?
We don't normally see this many Robins around, so, what the?
The best I can figure is that these birds were flying up from the United States, which, to be fair, why would you want to be there in 2026? They planned to go further north, except there is a giant snowstorm in Northern Ontario. Its plenty cold enough where we were!
So, the little buggers instead are hanging out here until the weather clears enough for them to continue north. Some will stay, I mean, the yard is pretty big, has lots of trees and blooms into a naturalised garden in the summer.
